Alchemy II Products

Founded in the Fall of 1980 by Ken Forsse, Alchemy II would become the company that revolutionized the toy industry. Using technolgoy pioneered during his time at Disney Imagineering and Sid & Marty Krofft, Ken and his team would develop the world's first animated talking toy, Teddy Ruxpin.

Becoming an overnight phenomenon, Teddy Ruxpin's success would spur the company to release a second animated talking toy, Mother Goose. While Teddy had been imbued with Ken's own stories, Mother Goose told traditional fairytales in the form of a beautifully animated, almost lifelike goose.

Alchemy II is in the business of turning dreams into reality.

Two more talking toys would be created to accompany Teddy and Mother Goose: Teddy's best friend, Grubby, and the Ugly Duckling Hector.

While funded primarily funded by their distributor, Worlds of Wonder, Alchemy II's innovation and creativity would kickstart the talking toy mania that swept over the world in the 1980's. And while others would often try to imitate the magic of Alchemy II's creations, few can claim to have left such an ineffaceable mark on those who enjoyed the endearing characters and timeless stories that were created by Ken Forsse and his unrivaled family of creative artists.
